Born in 1955 in Poniatów. In 1979-1985 he studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting of the Strzemiński State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz. In 1985 he graduated from the Lithographic Techniques Studio run by Prof. Jerzy Grabowski and from the Painting Studio run by Prof. Stanisław Fijalkowski. In 1987, he began teaching at his alma mater at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting as an assistant in Prof. Stanisław Fijałkowski’s Painting Studio. In the following years, as an employee of the Academy, he earned further academic degrees and positions. He obtained the title of professor in 2002, and a year later he was appointed to the position of full professor. Since 1998 he has headed the Drawing Studio at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. In 2020-2021 he was the Director of the Institute of Painting and Drawing. He served as Vice Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting and the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. From 2005 to 2012, he was pro-rector for teaching at his alma mater. He has participated in more than 250 exhibitions and competitions, exhibitions of Polish art abroad and international exhibitions. He works in the field of graphic arts, drawing and painting.
