Born in Lodz in 1958. He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz, graduating in 1985 from the Typography Design Studio run by Prof. Krzysztof Lenk, the Painting Studio run by Prof. Stanisław Fijałkowski and the Drawing Studio run by Prof. Leszek Rózga. Since 1987, he has been working for the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. From 1987-2002 he was an assistant in the Drawing Studio run by Prof. Witold Kaliński. From 2002 to 2015, he ran the Drawing Studio IV at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting. In 2005-2008 he was the head of the Department of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting. In 2008-2016 he held the position of dean, and in 2016-2019 he was vice dean at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting. In 2011, he was qualified for professorship. He currently runs the Illustration Studio at the Faculty of Design Arts in the Institute of Graphic Design and Visual Information. He has participated in more than 220 national and international exhibitions, exhibitions of Polish art abroad, competitions, auctions and art fairs. He works in the field of printmaking and graphic design, drawing and painting.
