Alia ÜstekEXHIBITION » In 2004 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc³aw, from the Faculty of Ceramics and Artistic Glass. She is also a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton - School of Art and Design in Great Britain (where she later became a lecturer), the Academy of Fine Arts in Mulhouse in France, the European Institute of Artistic Ceramics in France, postgraduate teaching studies at the University of Staffordshire in Great Britain, studies in the field of computer animation and computer graphics in Wolverhampton (Great Britain). She also graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Graphics in the field of illustration and comics of the Strzemiñski Academy of Fine Arts in £ód¼. Currently, she is a PhD student at the Faculty of Interior Design and Industrial Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in £ód¼, where she has previously carried out an artistic and research project on behalf of the Faculty. She has had a lot of exhibitions in the country and abroad, participated in conferences and international en plein air events. She received many important scholarships and awards in contests for artistic achievements, including the 1st prize (as a scholarship holder) in the competition of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroc³aw for ‘the best results’ and for the ‘2002 portfolio’. She won the first place in a prestigious competition covering the whole region of the French Alsace for the ‘overall artistic creation’. In 2015 she received the main prize of the Mayor of the City of Zgierz in the category ‘professional artist’ for achievements in the field of artistic creation, promotion and protection of culture and a special commitment to work in the field of culture. Her artwork was discussed in articles in Poland and abroad, she gave television interviews. Alia Üstek is an artist and designer. He specializes in unique ceramics and functional ceramics (design), sculpture, painting, drawing, illustration, comics, graphics, graphic design, stained glass, photography, animation, intarsia and happening. In her artwork Alia Üstek refers to the heritage of various cultures. The artist strives to make her art a universal language of communication to bring closer different cultures, favour tolerance, reconciliation and intercultural integration. aliaustek@gmail.com
